Goals of this course:

To understand the stages of gametogenesis

To understand early stages of embryogenesis

To understand the development of adult tissue “systems”

To become familiar with current fertility treatments

To understand the mechanisms of various birth control methods

To understand the cellular structure of human tissues

Course Description

This course will examine human development. This course will present stages of development of human structures as well as examine the histological characteristics of human body parts. This course will address common birth defects and causes when known. Students will read and paraphrase current literature in the field of human development.
